The best affordable travel products from Amazon and Dollar Tree.
This summer we haven’t been doing much traveling due to Covid, but we have been going out east to the Hamptons/Montauk and Newport. Sometimes its just good to get away for the weekend and escape the chaos. I like to pack the least amount of items as possible on our trips but still feel like I have everything I need. Trust me, you can lose yourself at Harmon’s or CVS in the travel aisles, I know I do. Here are my favorite toiletry items to travel with.
The best everyday finds at Costco right now to save you money.
Costco is one of my favorite places to go and just so happens to be my husband’s own personal hell. Needless to say, I have to be in and out, in record time. Because of this, I have become a professional Costco shopper over the years. Not to toot my own horn, but I can probably be out of there in 30 minutes or less, now that I have perfected my list. I give myself a maximum budget of $300, which sounds like a lot but trust me that will last you 3 – 4 months depending on your family size. Many times I leave there only spending $180, so it really depends on what you need at the moment. Another tip is to always check the website for sales. At certain times of the year, select items go on sale so you have to make sure you are actively checking.
I saved hundreds of dollars on groceries by freezing these foods.
Unfortunately, Rona has the most of us coupon clipping, only buying sale foods, or buying in bulk from Costco only to be eating the same things over and over again. I did some research and played around with freezing various food items and came up with a list of food items you never knew you could freeze. These items tasted just as good as the day I put them in the freezer. Also, side note, pre-corona we ate mostly organic non-GMO in our house so this was definitely a challenge.
